Train/Underground/Buses

Harrow on the Hill station:

Metropolitan Line from Baker Street c. 20 minutes ; and also from Watford, Uxbridge, Chesham, Amersham. 

Jubilee Line – Walk 6 meters across the platform at Finchley Road for Metropolitan Line – Easy!

Chiltern Railways from London Marylebone only 13 minutes; and all stations from Aylesbury.

Turn right at ticket barrier down stairs to Harrow on the Hill town centre for bus station.
Take 258 or H17 from Bus Stand C to alight at Harrow School bus stop.

 

South Harrow station then 7 minute bus:

Piccadilly Line from Hammersmith, Chiswick, Ealing, Acton

Again take 258, and use Harrow School bus stop.

 

Harrow and Wealdstone station then 10 minute bus

Bakerloo Line, London Overground Line, Midland Railway and Southern Railway from loads of places!

Take main exit (across bridge away from Bakerloo/Overground platforms). Over zebra crossing to take 258 bus to Harrow School bus stop .

 

From Harrow School bus stop:

Cross road and turn left to go down West St. on your right. The Castle is 1-2 mins along West St.

Street Car Parking 

There is no pub car park but plenty of on street parking, including free parking on single yellow lines around the Hill after 6.30pm.

 Easiest car parking:

  1. When coming from South Harrow use Postcode HA2 0HN – park in Middle Road outside John Lyon School, walk along Crown Street to The Castle.

          2, When coming from Harrow use Postcode HA1 3HF-  up Peterborough Road turn first right into Davidson Lane then left                        into Grove Hill, park before it rejoins Peterborough Road!  The Castle is a scenic 4-5 mins walk.

By Car from M25/ M1 Junction 5 for Watford

Coming from M1 junction 5 take A4008 for Watford and continue left on A4008 to Bushey Arches
follow signs to Harrow round the one way system to continue on the A4008 (Pinner Road/Oxhey
Lane ) and, as if built by the Romans, the road takes you straight and quickly almost directly to Harrow on the Hill following Postcode HA1 3HF – as above.

 

Walking 

From Harrow on the Hill station use Lowlands Rd. exit (15 minutes- walking up / 12 mins walking down )

Turn left at turnstiles down stairs to Lowlands Rd. exit.

Cross Bessborough Rd. by zebra crossing.

Turn left on pavement with open space on right,

then turn right up Grove Hill at Harrow School sign.

Leads up into High St where on the level you continue past memorial steps to West St. on your right.  Fuller’s The Castle is half way down West St.

From South Harrow Station  (12 – 15 minutes) Turn right outside the station up past Waitrose towards Half Moon pub /Salt Bar, where you take Middle Rd passing John Lyon School, after which bear left along Crown St and The Castle is at the end of the street .
