Herga at The Castle is a folk and acoustic music evening, with roots going back to 1963. We meet on Monday nights at The Castle – a Fuller’s public house atop old Harrow on the Hill with it’s panoramic views across London.
What’s on this month and next month?
The live club remains closed due to the Corona Virus epidemic for the forseeable future.
However, we are now running weekly singarounds using Zoom, and approximately once a month are featuring a booked guest.
To be added to the distribution list for log-in details each week send an e-mail to oldtimetim(*at*)gmail.com, or sign up using the form on our ‘contact’ page.
On Monday 27th January 2021 we have our next virtual guest night featuring, From Australia, the ever so engaging……..
Margaret Walters (Sydney, Australia) has been singing for over 40 years: folk songs, ballads, sea shanties, songs for peace, social justice, workers, the environment. Her preference is for unaccompanied song; she loves harmonies and has been singing with 40 Degrees South and its precursor for decades, as well as with many other ad hoc groups. For ten years Margaret collaborated with songwriter John Warner, producing several fine albums.

Help with Zoom
For those who take part in our zoom meetings here are a number of documents to help you install Zoom, and also to optimise the sound performance – recommended if you are playing an instrument, but ideally should be followed by everyone.
We recommend that you hold a one-to-one zoom meet up with a friend to get your sound sorted out, well in advance of joining one of our meetings.
