Monday 7th April 2025 – Guest Evening – Jamie McCoan – Entry £10

Yes! It’s a full performance set from our very own Jamie McCoan.
He’s soon moving away to the wilds of East Anglia, so we’re anxious to get a full dose of his wicked humour, aided and abetted by his bag of songs by the late great Jake Thakray, along with other notable songwriters.

Monday 5th May 2025 – Guest evening – Steve Suffett and Jack Warshaw – Entry £10

A native New Yorker, who takes any song he likes, from whatever source, and sings it in a manner that suits him. “Sometimes I change the tune a little bit, and sometimes I change the words. More and more I find that I’m making up my own songs. In fact, the well respected songwriter Si Kahn once said to me, “You write really good songs.” I certainly am not about to argue with Si’s assessment, but I’m still reluctant to think of myself as a songwriter. Old fashioned folksinger suits me just fine!”
For this performance on his UK tour Steve will be performing with his long-time friend Jack Warshaw, an American Singer Songwriter now residing in Hampshire (Old) England.

Monday 16th June 2025 – Guest evening – Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne – Entry £12

Cohen burst onto the folk scene in his teens with the energetic and much-loved trio Granny’s Attic, along with schoolmates George Sansome and Lewis Wood, and in recent years has embarked on a solo career alongside this.
Cohen’s solo repertoire is rooted in the English folk tradition, celebrating the age-old musical heritage of this broad and diverse land, with a particular interest in the music of the West Midlands, where Cohen spent many of his formative years. Traditional ballads, songs and tunes form the basis of Cohen’s material, but with a smattering of baroque, renaissance, ragtime, and music hall thrown in for good measure.
Described in The Living Tradition as ‘captivating, bold and striking’, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne is at the forefront of his generation of English folk musicians as both a powerful and commanding singer and a masterful player of the Anglo concertina and melodeon.
